About Ruidoso NM:
The Ruidoso (commonly misspelled Ruidosa or Riodoso) is a small, friendly mountain village located in Lincoln County, New Mexico. Ruidoso lies in the rugged Sacramento Mountains of southeastern New Mexico. The village received its name from the Rio Ruidoso (Spanish for "Noisy River"), a small stream which runs nearby.

Ruidoso is a rapidly growing resort community due to the town's cool summers, alpine scenery and nearby ski slopes. Ruidoso Downs Racetrack and an Apache owned casino are also within the area.

You can enjoy many outdoor activities including skiing, hiking, fishing, hunting, mountain biking, horseback riding,  scenic drives and golfing.

The area also has a wide variety of campgrounds, cabin rentals, lodging facilities, restaurants & art galleries as well as just the peace and quiet the area can provide.
